Typography 1984A typographic experiment with the contents of George Orwell’s classic novel: Nineteen Eighty-Four. The purpose of this newsprint was to find a way to re-imagine the novel outside the conventions of a book. Looking into the content of the Orwell’s story, it almost seemed natural to bring its copy onto a broadsheet format that reflects the main character’s issues and challenges. Each double page spread has a phototypographic layout that reflects the usage of Newspeak (a language in the novel), which corresponds to snippets of the story.
